Native American Resource Search Site
www.nativetourism.org

At www.nativetourism.org, a web site designed to assist travelers and travel planners in locating Native American tour attractions and tourism services throughout the United States.  The lands of this country are home to more than 550 different indigenous nations, reservations, pueblos, rancherias and villages.  There exists a great deal of rich and interesting history, culture and landscapes awaiting your exploration and enjoyment.

Many of the attractions on the web site are located on American Indian and Alaska Native lands.

  • You can navigate the site by clicking on the state or tribe of your choice, choosing your destinations and attractions, and setting up your own travel itinerary by contacting the various attractions or services.

  • Or, you may contact one of the listed native tour operators and request their assistance in setting up your tour.

Native Tourism supports the growth and economic vitality of sustainable Native American tourism enterprises in the United States.  Tourism contributes to the well being of indigenous peoples and the preservation of  valuable assets:  lands, culture, heritage and language.  The focus of Native Tourism is to strengthen the capacity of American Indian tribal communities and individual entrepreneurs to develop such enterprises and to participate in the global tourism market.

The goal of the www.nativetourism.org website and directory is to act as a resource to domestic and international travelers in locating destinations within Native America.

Native Tourism is a national program of the
Western American Indian Chamber
supported by:

  • American Express
  • University of Colorado at Boulder's
